To better use your battery, please take care of the precautions listed below

One, the battery maintenance and operating instructions

1) A new battery usually comes in a discharged condition with very low capacity. It is highly recommended to fully charge new battery packs before use. See the user guide of your electronic device for charging instructions.

2) A new battery pack needs to be circled (fully discharged and recharged) three to eight times to reach its optimum performance.

3) Rechargeable battery 312-0538 will undergo self-discharge when left unused for a long period of time. Therefore always be stored in a fully charged state and kept in a cool, dry and clean.

4) To maintain the performance of a battery, we recommend flip (fully discharging and recharging) at least once a month.

5) It is normal that a new battery gets warm when being charged or used. However, attention must be paid if the battery overheats. This may indicate a problem with the charging circuit of the electronic device. Therefore, it needs to be reviewed by a qualified technician.

6) New batteries are hard to be charged. Sometimes, the electronic device may indicate a fully charged condition about 10 to 15 minutes when the second battery is being charged for the first time. When this happens, remove the battery and let it cool for about 10 to 15 minutes and then repeat the charging process. Sometimes a new battery will suddenly refuse to be charged. If this happens, then suggested to remove the battery from the device and reinsert it.

B, To make best use of the battery, take care of the precautions listed below

1) Do not modify or disassemble.

2) Do not incinerate or expose battery for dell latitude d830 to excessive heat, which can result in exposure.

3) Do not expose battery to water or other moist matters.

4) Do not pierce, hit, stomp, crush or abuse the battery.

5) Do not place the battery in the device over a long period of time if the device is not being used.

6) Do not short terminals or store your battery with metal objects such as necklaces or hairpins.

Other tips

1 Instructions Battery Care:

Your new battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use (see your computer manual for charging instructions). Upon initial use (or after a prolonged storage period) the battery may require three to four charge / discharge before achieving maximum capacity.

2, When charging the battery for the first time your computer may indicate that charging is complete after 10 or 15 minutes. This is a normal phenomenon with rechargeable batteries. Simply remove the battery from the computer and repeat the charging procedure.

It is important to condition (fully discharge and then charge) battery every two or three weeks. Otherwise, you can significantly shorten the battery life (this does not apply to Li-Ion batteries which do not require conditioning). To download, simply run the device under battery power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Then recharge the battery as instructed in the manual.

3, If the battery is not in use for a month or more, we recommend that you remove the device and stored in a cool, dry and clean.

4, it is normal for a battery to become warm during charging and discharging.

A charged battery eventually lose its charge if unused. Therefore, it may be necessary to recharge the battery after a storage period.
